World Peace is Possible

I’d like to start this post off with an amazing speech that was given after learning of the death of Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968 by Robert Kennedy (click on the title if you’d like to listen to it be delivered, Bobby is an inspiring orator)

“Mindless Menace of Violence”

“This is a time of shame and sorrow. It is not a day for politics. I have saved this one opportunity, my only event of today, to speak briefly to you about the mindless menace of violence in America which again stains our land and every one of our lives.

It is not the concern of any one race. The victims of the violence are black and white, rich and poor, young and old, famous and unknown. They are, most important of all, human beings whom other human beings loved and needed. No one – no matter where he lives or what he does – can be certain who will suffer from some senseless act of bloodshed. And yet it goes on and on and on in this country of ours.

Why? What has violence ever accomplished? What has it ever created? No martyr’s cause has ever been stilled by an assassin’s bullet.

No wrongs have ever been righted by riots and civil disorders. A sniper is only a coward, not a hero; and an uncontrolled, uncontrollable mob is only the voice of madness, not the voice of reason.

Whenever any American’s life is taken by another American unnecessarily – whether it is done in the name of the law or in the defiance of the law, by one man or a gang, in cold blood or in passion, in an attack of violence or in response to violence – whenever we tear at the fabric of the life which another man has painfully and clumsily woven for himself and his children, then the whole nation is degraded.

“Among free men,” said Abraham Lincoln, “there can be no successful appeal from the ballot to the bullet; and those who take such appeal are sure to lose their cause and pay the costs.”

Yet we seemingly tolerate a rising level of violence that ignores our common humanity and our claims to civilization alike. We calmly accept newspaper reports of civilian slaughter in far-off lands. We glorify killing on movie and television screens and call it entertainment. We make it easy for men of all shades of sanity to acquire whatever weapons and ammunition they desire.

Too often we honor swagger and bluster and wielders of force; too often we excuse those who are willing to build their own lives on the shattered dreams of others. Some Americans who preach non-violence abroad fail to practice it here at home. Some who accuse others of inciting riots have by their own conduct invited them.

Some look for scapegoats, others look for conspiracies, but this much is clear: violence breeds violence, repression brings retaliation, and only a cleansing of our whole society can remove this sickness from our soul.

For there is another kind of violence, slower but just as deadly destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions; indifference and inaction and slow decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. This is the slow destruction of a child by hunger, and schools without books and homes without heat in the winter.

This is the breaking of a man’s spirit by denying him the chance to stand as a father and as a man among other men. And this too afflicts us all.

I have not come here to propose a set of specific remedies nor is there a single set. For a broad and adequate outline we know what must be done. When you teach a man to hate and fear his brother, when you teach that he is a lesser man because of his color or his beliefs or the policies he pursues, when you teach that those who differ from you threaten your freedom or your job or your family, then you also learn to confront others not as fellow citizens but as enemies, to be met not with cooperation but with conquest; to be subjugated and mastered.

We learn, at the last, to look at our brothers as aliens, men with whom we share a city, but not a community; men bound to us in common dwelling, but not in common effort. We learn to share only a common fear, only a common desire to retreat from each other, only a common impulse to meet disagreement with force. For all this, there are no final answers.

Yet we know what we must do. It is to achieve true justice among our fellow citizens. The question is not what programs we should seek to enact. The question is whether we can find in our own midst and in our own hearts that leadership of humane purpose that will recognize the terrible truths of our existence.

We must admit the vanity of our false distinctions among men and learn to find our own advancement in the search for the advancement of others. We must admit in ourselves that our own children’s future cannot be built on the misfortunes of others. We must recognize that this short life can neither be ennobled or enriched by hatred or revenge.

Our lives on this planet are too short and the work to be done too great to let this spirit flourish any longer in our land. Of course we cannot vanquish it with a program, nor with a resolution.

But we can perhaps remember, if only for a time, that those who live with us are our brothers, that they share with us the same short moment of life; that they seek, as do we, nothing but the chance to live out their lives in purpose and in happiness, winning what satisfaction and fulfillment they can.

Surely, this bond of common faith, this bond of common goal, can begin to teach us something. Surely, we can learn, at least, to look at those around us as fellow men, and surely we can begin to work a little harder to bind up the wounds among us and to become in our own hearts brothers and countrymen once again.” – Bobby Kennedy

This speech is powerful and riveting and one of my absolute favorites by a politician on “non-violence.” However, there are somethings that need to be addressed in our understanding of it to get the most out of it’s intention.

While it is an amazing speech, it does not approach the solution properly. What I mean by this, is that based on the laws of attraction we can not only focus on the violence and pain there is in the world and expect change, we need to focus on the peace and love that is abounding all around us! With this being said, the speech still serves a purpose of rousing our spirits and emotions in realizing what we(humans) do to each other. It is true that in our history mankind has shown the pain, sorrow, and absolutely horrific things we will do to each other in the name of all sorts of things(Unfortunately majority of the time in the name of God). But this is only good to identify for a brief moment. We don’t want to get caught thinking about all the suffering in the world and thus feel helpless because we actually are feeding and creating more of it when we do so. The universe works on principles based on attraction, vibrational frequency, and energy. So if we’re feeding powerful emotions towards violence no matter for or against, we’re nevertheless feeding it and encouraging it. And this goes for all things, whether we’re for or against something you’re giving that thing attention and thus energy to continue.

This has been described by many spiritual leaders of our time and in history. Basically the concept is that we need to give our attention to what we want not what we don’t want. For example, we should be pro-peace instead of anti-war or pro-peace or pro-harmonious living instead of non-violence or anti-crime. We have to eliminate the idea of anti anything for that matter especially anti-terrorism that has run rampant in our media and society over the past decade! Be pro-“whatever it is you want” and focus only on that. This is a great truth and one that would be great for us humans to realize if we are ever to evolve in our sense of humanity.

There is an answer and solution to this problem, there is an easy solution to rid this planet of violence and fear and that is LOVE! It is so simple that we seem to disbelieve it! And those of us who are educated in the workings of the mind know that all of these things mentioned in this speech is describing effects directly linked to ego thinking! That is why it is the single most important thing to understand! I encourage you to read, or read again, the concept of the ego and understanding the ego so that more and more of us can better understand it and help teach others how to rid this thinking of separation from our lives and our world.

RFK was right on point when he mentioned that we are taught and continue to teach to retreat and live in fear of one another. Is this not exact ego thinking? Ego is based out of fear. It is based on scarcity. It is based on powerlessness. It is based on a lie!

The truth is that there is more than enough love, joy, abundance, and happiness for everyone in this world if we stop looking at the world from an ego perspective. It is so simple yet mankind, with all our genius, seems to not even be able to figure out the most basic law of life, LOVE!

There needs to be a realization of oneness in our world. We need to see that we are all one and if you can’t do that at least see that we have to share this planet together and if we don’t share it in cooperation there won’t be a future for our children and our species. And if you still can’t understand that concept at least understand that we’re all humans and part of the human “family.” In terms of biology, what makes one human different from another is so ridiculously minuscule and yet we treat others as if they might as well be dogs or some other species that is separate from us. We dehumanize each other on a global scale, that’s a tactic the military uses to help soldiers learn to kill each other for goodness sake! Human’s naturally and intrinsically don’t want to kill another human being. All of this is being created by media glamorizing killing and death and we literally enjoy it, we call it entertainment as mentioned in the speech. Do you see the key there, all prejudice and all fear stems from the beliefs that we are separate, different, and their is not enough of whatever it is for everyone. These are biggest ego lies there are and they are taught to us. The lies of the ego are the single cause throughout all history of violence, war, segregation, prejudice, pain, suffering, and lack of any kind.

There have been masters and teachers throughout all time that have been trying to teach us this and yet mankind in our absolute arrogance fails to see that LOVE is always the solution. Love is what we are at our core and it is how all progress is made in this world in whatever form it takes.

Ignorance is man’s essential mistake, ignorance is what keeps us trapped by ego thinking, such primitive thinking has led to the slaughter of millions of our own kind and in some of the most horrific ways. It is absolutely ridiculous the level of ignorance that man has continued to maintain. Why are we still choosing war as a solution at all, it shouldn’t even be an option!? Why do we continue to segregate our nations and create “enemies” for ourselves? This can only be the result of ego thinking. Anytime there is a sense of separation and especially an “enemy” it is a lie and an illusion.

Thus, I call your attention to truth! To light and hope! There is an infinite supply of love in this world! There is an infinite supply of happiness and joy for every single person on this planet! The sooner we start realizing this the faster we can turn the world around and free it from the ego’s control and stop returning to our old ways. We can move on, we have to, and move into a new way of thinking where the best for all is the governing system of belief.

Try responding to every situation in your life with unconditional love and see what happens! See the endless glorious joy that will fill your mind, body, and soul! How about we commit to really “love one another,” “do unto others as you would do unto yourselves.” Do wise words like this mean nothing to us? Love my friends! Love is all we need to do and it’s incredibly easy and contagious once we drop our ego thinking!

You will be astounded at the amount of joy that will fill your life as you shift your thinking from an ego perspective to a LOVE perspective. The funny and great thing about the universe is that as you focus on LOVE you attract more LOVE into your life! It is endless! It perpetuates itself!

I imagine a world filled with love, joy, happiness, hope, aspiration, and bliss for all! It is so easy to see and such an easy goal to achieve as more of us awaken to this truth. Do you realize how easily we could solve all the issues in this world if every nation stopped spending billions and billions of dollars on developing our abilities to kill one another! Demilitarizing the world would free up untold resources and would allow mankind to offer endless aid to each other! And that’s just military research. Could you imagine the amount of solutions and advancement we could achieve if all mankind worked together as a unified whole instead of separate nations. Collaborating and sharing ideas of how to better our world, restore and preserve the planet, feed everyone, free energy, etc.

The possibilities for progress are endless. This is not a far stretch and not a lofty vision. I know this is possible and I hope with every bit of energy inside of me that you will agree that Love is the answer. Love one another. Remember we are the human family. There is no separation here. There is only unity, why fight truth!? Why suffer? It makes no sense. That is why the ego is often referred to as the “insane guide,” because it really is insanity. As we awaken our consciousness we can clearly see that the ego is never serving our higher purpose. It is never actually helping us, it is only giving us the illusion of security, happiness, hope, accomplishment, or whatever it is but it’s never real or lasting.

Ponder and search your soul for the feeling of truth in these words. They are not mine, they are yours. “I” am not writing to you, it is you that is finding the truth that you wanted to find. We are all one and “I” am not separate from you! We are one in love and in joy. My joy is your joy and my happiness is yours. I radiate endless happiness, joy, and peace to you forever and wish you nothing but. We can break the bonds of ignorance and realize the truth of our unity and family of mankind that is so obvious if we will only step out of our ego minds and see the truth that is waiting to be heard within us.

Love my friends, Love is the solution and there is plenty of it for everyone because it’s within all of us! I know we can do this, I know there is hope, I know that you are more magnificent and amazing than you may have ever thought before. You are a glorious eternal fountain of love and power if you choose to tap into it! You are a divine creator and that is exactly why we must remember our truth of love that is within us all!

Search yourself and find out if what is said here is true, I hope that you will come to similar conclusions that love is all there is… but I love you regardless, unconditionally, always, and forever!

Always Love-
